Los alumnos de 3º 4ª T.M. se inspiraron en los haiku, de origen japonés (Basho, siglo XVII), para componer poemas, que fueron retomados por EZRA POUND, uno de los exponentes más conocidos de esta corriente literaria a principios del siglo XX.
Ezra Pound
(EEUU, 1885-1972)
Poeta vanguardista, crítico y traductor estadounidense que ejerció una enorme influencia en el desarrollo de la poesía y la crítica inglesa y estadounidense a comienzos del siglo XX. Pound nació el 30 de octubre de 1885, en Hailey (Idaho), y estudió en las universidades de Pennsylvania, donde hizo amistad con W. C. Williams, y de Hamilton. En 1907 dejó Estados Unidos y de 1908 a 1930 vivió en Londres, donde trabajó como corresponsal para revistas estadounidenses. También difundió las teorías del movimiento literario que se conocería como imaginismo.
El Imaginismo fue un movimiento de comienzos del siglo XX en la poesía angloamericana, que favorecía la precisión de la imagen, y un lenguaje claro y preciso. Los imaginistas rechazaron el sentimiento y el artificio típico de la poesía del romanticismo y la poesía victoriana.
